~About Fund a Cure~

​

JDRF’s mission is the same today as when it was

founded in 1970 by a small group of parents—to find a cure for

type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications through the

support of research. Today, JDRF is the largest charitable funder of

T1D research. Thanks to the tireless efforts of tens of thousands

of supporters, we have driven major scientific advances that

have resulted in life-changing therapies for the millions of people

who live with this disease. JDRF is now the only organization with

the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a strategic

research plan to end the disease. Together, we are working

toward a world without T1D.

JDRF offers individuals and companies the opportunity to

contribute directly to T1D research through our Fund A Cure

campaign, by making a 100% tax-deductible contribution that

directly funds JDRF research. Your generosity and commitment
